You must have an active EthOS account to either create an application or be given access to an existing application form (by another researcher).

Users with active accounts appear in all EthOS 'Search User' look-up fields. If someone has asked you to activate your account, they may be trying to name you as a study team member or grant you application access and are not able to do so until you activate your account.  

U of G/UofGH Applicants

  • Anyone with U of G/UofGH single sign-on credentials just needs to log in once to the internal EthOS applicant site to activate your account

External Applicants

  • First request an external account
  • Your account is manually activated by the technical team, after which you can use the external EthOS applicant site

Note: if you are an REB Member and use the EthOS REB Member site for the review of submitted applications, your account is automatically created and activated and no action is required.
