Forest Fitness at the Arboretum

Take a break in your day and join us for some movement in nature. This outdoor class, taught by a Personal Trainer from Athletics, will focus on body weight strength and mobility exercises.  Exercise options will be given to ensure anyone can participate.   All are welcome and no experience is required. Please bring your own mat if you desire, and your water bottle as needed. Registration Register through Qualtrics!

Cancelled - Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the links between thoughts (“cognitions”), feelings and behaviour. Your thoughts lead to feelings; your feelings lead to behaviours; and your behaviours can, in turn, positively or negatively influence your feelings. This session will help you recognize how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours mutually impact each other, and give you tools for dealing with them in your day to day life.

Developed by the Mental Health Commission Canada, this 1-day certification course focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance-related, mood-related, anxiety and trauma-related, and psychotic disorders. Course Objectives Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the support provided to a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis.
