Gardens

The Arboretum has 5 feature gardens as well as many smaller plantings throughout our site. We try to make our gardens as pesticide-free and low-water as possible. This means that certain plants that you may expect in certain gardens may not be there. Instead, they will have been replaced with hardier species for our specific climate and conditions.

The Garden project consists of the Garden Path, leading from the Italian Garden, to the David G. Porter Memorial Japanese Garden, the Edna and Frank C. Miller English Garden and the OAC '56 Park in The Garden. The completion and enhancement of these gardens will be dependent upon continued fund-raising and support from FRIENDS of The Arboretum.

The Gosling Wildlife Gardens is a place where the goals are to motivate visitors to do similar plantings in their own backyards and promote positive people/wildlife interactions.
