U of G's business and residence phones (including those on the Kemptville campus) use VoIP technology that allows calls to be sent over a network by converting the call from analog to digital. The IP phones are hooked up to your computer and use an internet connection instead of a regular phone line.

To request a new phone, move an existing phone, remove a phone which you no longer need, or make a change to your phone service, please use the new MACdesk on-line request application.  Login with your central user ID and password. 

Note: this application is for Departmental Administrators authorized to make Macdesk requests. 


Supplementary phones for your room are available. An additional extension and voice mail box will be provided.
