Undergraduate Programs in Geography span social and natural sciences, as well as techniques, focused on human-environment geography, environmental geoscience, and geomatics. Our programs are guided by twelve Learning Outcomes highlighting core content, skills and values that Geography graduates will possess upon completion of their degree. We are committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and learning, ensuring that students are well equipped with strong critical thinking and practical skills, and extensive theoretical and empirical geographical knowledge. We especially value experiential learning, which takes place in the classroom, laboratory, field, and community, and through undergraduate research opportunities. Four faculty members have received teaching awards and many more have been nominated and recognized publicly as outstanding educators.
