John Black Graduate Travel Grant [T5649] (1,500)
Master’s students with at least an “A-“average in the last 2 years, registered in a Political Science program (POLS/CCJP), the Capacity Development and Extension program, or the collaborative International Development Studies program (any department) in class level 1 to 3 at the time of application and who plan to travel to conduct thesis research, attend a conference, or take a course.
Dr. Kerry Preibisch Travel Grant [T5963] (2,000)
This award was established in memory of Dr. Kerry Preibisch, a respected professor in Sociology and Anthropology and International Development Studies. Students registered in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, or in any International Development Studies collaborative graduate program, with plans for domestic or international travel in the upcoming summer, fall or winter semester for the purpose of conducting approved research fieldwork or knowledge translation in the area of social justice. Preference will be given to research that focuses on the health and labour rights of migrant workers, agriculture, rural Canada or agricultural economics, with additional preference to students conducting research in the area of migrant women, especially from Latin America.
Richard and Sophia Hungerford Graduate Travel Grants [Z5725] (500-3,000)
Registered students with demonstrated financial need who have a minimum 70% cumulative average in the last two semesters of full-time equivalent study who wish to study in developing countries, or attend conferences on development. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).
