Student Planning Rollout Postponed

The Student Planning initiative was initially scheduled to launch this May, in time for Fall 2020 course enrolment; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting reprioritization of SIS Refresh activities, the Student Planning process will not be rolled out this summer.

While other projects have been brought to the forefront, work on Student Planning continues behind the scenes. Determining the right time to carry out this project remains of the utmost importance, and we want to ensure that everyone is well placed to benefit from these changes. Currently, faculty and staff are continuing to support students with the existing processes that are in place for course enrolment. Additionally, we are using this time to prepare supplemental resources for the eventual Student Planning rollout.

New Course of Action:

The SIS Refresh team continues to make progress towards the implementation of Student Planning. At this time there is no set launch date as much of the decision-making is dependent on the COVID-19 situation. Moving forward, we will be engaging with the necessary stakeholders and re-scheduling activities accordingly. In addition, we will continue to update you on the progress of the Student Planning project as we work through these uncertain times together.
