Established in honour of Professor Ted Newton, the founding chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Selection is based on the highest average in a minimum of 4.0 credits. A student may be considered for this award once only. This award is not tenable with Leibniz/Newton Scholarship (I0156) or the Second Year Math and Statistics Scholarship (I0739). Application is not required.
Students registered in a major offered by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics who have completed a minimum of 4.0 credits but no more than 8.5 credits.
