Established by the Estate of Professor Jay Newman, Ph.D., F.R.S.C, a philosopher and Professor at the University of Guelph from 1971 to 2007 to recognize and encourage students to pursue philosophical studies. These scholarships will be awarded to the two students with the highest cumulative averages. No application is required.

Students majoring in Philosophy who have completed between 8.0 and 12.5 credits and have a minimum 75% cumulative average.
