Dr. Michael von Massow is a professor in OAC. He and his partner wish to establish an award that supports First Nations, Métis, and Inuit and their study of food and/or water. The donors wish to make a meaningful contribution to truth & reconciliation and believe this is a good way to support students and participate in TRC. The donors have chosen food and/or water as a preference based on the expertise of the University of Guelph and Dr. von Massow’s own teaching and research interests. Apply by May 15 by submitting the OAC Undergraduate Fall Award Application Form. Applicants will be asked to outline their community extracurricular activities, noting how these activities benefited their community. Applicants are required to confirm their First Nations, Inuit or Métis identity by completing the Indigenous Identity Confirmation Process for Students. Selection will be based on the extent and impact of engagement in the community. In the event of a tie, the student with the highest cumulative average will be selected.

Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) students registered in a degree program offered by the Ontario Agricultural College who have participated in extra-curricular activities in the community. Preference will be given to students who are studying topics related to food, water, or the environment.
