This award will promote experiential learning, integrative problem solving, and the application of biological principles to address societal needs, all student experiences that Dr. Emes sought to enhance during his time as Dean. Apply to cbsada@uoguelph.ca by May 15th with a one-page statement of impact addressing the following: 1) the value of the internship to them personally and professionally, 2) impact of the scholarship on their educational and career choices going forward. The course grade and the quality of the statement will be weighted equally. Assessment of quality will be based on the depth of the statement. In the event no applications are received, selection will be based on the student who achieved the highest grade in the course BIOL*3660 Internship in Biological Science and in the event there are no students in the Biological Science major registered in the course, selection will be based on the student with the highest grade in the course registered in any major offered by the College of Biological Science.
