This award was established in honour of Barry Wheeler (BA ’99) to recognize his long-time service and dedication to Student Accessibility Services (SAS) as an advisor to students with disabilities. Barry is a passionate advocate for accessibility, academic success, and a strong U of G community, which has resulted in inspiring many students and colleagues. Apply by May 15th to SAS (c/o Advisor to Students with Disabilities) with a personal statement that outlines the time commitment and types of volunteer activities undertaken. Selection will be based on leadership activities held through volunteerism or other involvement that positively impacts the University of Guelph community.

Students registered in any program who have completed a minimum of 10.0 credits, are registered with Student Accessibility Services, who have a medical, mobility or dexterity disability, and have participated in volunteer activities.
