The Class of OVC ‘88 has established this award in memory of their classmate Dr. Vaughn Becker, whose life was cut short by Glioblastoma Multiform (GBM) brain cancer in the summer of 2017. A dedicated small animal veterinarian, Dr. Becker was known for treating the pets in his care with honesty, compassion and skill, and sharing tears and laughter along with his clients. Apply by October 7th with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form to Student Financial Services and submit a supporting letter from a community organization detailing the impact of the student’s civic involvement on their community during the call for applications from the Dean's office. Selection will be based on greatest demonstrated dedication and impact made to the community.
Students registered in Phases 3 or 4 of the DVM program who have demonstrated civic involvement in their community and have demonstrated financial need.
