PetSmart Charities of Canada Inc. has established this scholarship in support of their mission to make the world a better place for pets by investing in community partners that advocate and care for the well-being of pets and all who love them. Apply during the fall call for applications from the OVC Dean's office with a letter of no more than 600-words detailing the number of hours, and the types of volunteer and/or work experience with an organization or program that actively and purposefully engages in solutions to barriers to accessible veterinary care. Include a reference letter(s) from the organization(s) or program(s) confirming your volunteer and/or work experience. Selection will be based on the greatest number of hours of combined volunteer and/or work experience related to accessible veterinary care. The scholarship may only be held once.

Students registered in Phase 2 or 3 of the DVM program with volunteer and/or work experience related to accessible veterinary care: an organization or program that actively and purposefully engages in solutions to barriers, such as geographic, economic, and/or demographic/social.
