Schleese Saddlery Service, prominent global saddle manufacturer, established Saddlefit4Life in 2006 to educate riders and equine professionals. Jochen Schleese, with 40+ years of experience and in collaboration with top experts, offers global saddle fit certification courses. He and his wife, Guelph alumna, Sabine, are supporting the next generation of equine vets with this Travel Grant to help with clinical rotations outside of Ontario. Apply during the fall call for applications from the OVC Dean’s office by submitting a one-page letter listing the location of your clinical rotation, your learning objectives for the clinical rotation, and explaining how this experience will contribute to your understanding of equine medicine. Selection will be based on the most significant demonstration that the clinical rotation will support their learning objectives and contribute to their understanding of equine medicine. Travel grant recipients can access the ‘Introduction to Equine Ergonomics Certification’ course offered by Saddlefit 4 Life for free, a $2,500 value.

Students registered in Phase 4 of the DVM program in the Equine Stream who will be travelling to participate in a clinical rotation outside of Ontario.
