Established by the friends, colleagues and students of Larry Patrick Milligan, professor emeritus and former Vice President Research at U of G, in memory of his impact at the University and in the argi-food sector. Apply by February 1 by submitting a completed Larry Milligan Graduate Prize application form with a one-page outline of how their doctoral thesis focused on and contributed to the field of agri-food research. A one-page reference letter confirming this agri-food focus, and recommending the applicant for the prize, must also be submitted by the student’s primary Faculty Advisor OR Graduate Program Coordinator to grschol@uoguelph.ca. Selection will be based on the student whose research most demonstrably led to impactful innovation with real world benefit. Students can only hold this prize once.

Students who successfully defended a doctoral dissertation with a primary research focus in agri-food between January 1 and December 31 of the calendar year immediately preceding presentation of the award.
