Established by the friends, colleagues and students of Larry Patrick Milligan, professor emeritus and former Vice President Research at U of G, in memory of his impact at the University and in the argi-food sector. Students who graduated in the Summer, Fall, or Winter semester in the previous academic year must apply by March 1 to grschol@uoguelph.ca with a one page outline of how their Doctoral thesis focused on and contributed to the field of agri-food research. A one-page reference letter confirming this agri-food focus, and recommending the applicant for the prize, must also be submitted by the student’s primary Faculty Advisor OR Graduate Program Coordinator. Selection will be based on the student whose research most demonstrably led to impactful innovation with real world benefit.
Full-time students graduating in June or who have graduated in the previous winter or fall convocations from any Doctoral program with a primary research focus in agri-food.
