Wayne J. Caldwell created this award to recognize excellence in students who have made significant contributions to the Rural Planning and Development Program through their work in student organizations, their role with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute, the Canadian Institute of Planners, or in Community Service. OAC Awards will request nominations from the School of Environmental Design & Rural Development in the Spring. Selection will be based on the extent and impact of the student’s contributions to the Rural Planning and Development program (e.g., involvement with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute, the Canadian Institute of Planners, community service).

Students who are graduating in June or have graduated in the previous winter or fall convocations from the Master of Science (MSc) program in Rural Planning and Development or Master of Planning program (MPlan).
