To support the development of a new generation of climate leaders, with support from Fondation David R. Graham and in collaboration with Sciences Po, U of T, and UBC through the Climate, Adaptation, Resilience & Empowerment (CARE) program, these scholarships will provide the opportunity for French nationals to participate in courses related to CARE core themes and complete a Master’s degree at U of G. Apply by April 15 by submitting the Climate Adaptation Resilience Empowerment Scholarship application form. Recipients must submit travel details to the CARE program at care@uoguelph.ca at least 4 weeks prior to departure. Selection will be based on academic excellence and research potential based on assessment of the admission application package. Award recipients will be asked to serve as ambassadors of Arrell Food Institute by participating in CARE events (ie, annual conference) and programming (ie, in situ and remote activities) during the duration of their funding.
French nationals (or dual French-Canadian citizens) entering a thesis or course-based Master’s program whose research connects to the CARE program themes of environmental sustainability, including: climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience, energy transitions, biodiversity, and pollution. Preference will be given to students entering the following programs: MA Geography, MSc Geography, MSc Environmental Sciences, Master of Environmental Sciences, and MSc Rural Planning, or any Master’s programs with a Collaborative Specialization in International Development Studies.
