Established to support graduate students in financial need whose research interests relate to developing countries. Recipients will be selected on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, and the quality of their intended research in developing countries. Apply to Student Financial Services by January 10 including a one page summary of the research proposal, a completed Financial Need Assessment Form, and a letter of reference from the principal advisor. Registered or incoming full-time students with at least a cumulative 80% average in their last two years are eligible with demonstrated financial need. Students are ineligible if beyond semester 5 at the masters level and semester 7 at the doctoral level. Additionally, students must meet the government-mandated terms for receipt of an OSOTF award (see General Statements on Awards).
