Mrs. Mary Walsh and Dr. John Walsh established the Serving Scholar Prize to recognize the academic excellence and achievement of a graduating University of Guelph student currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) including the CAF Reserves. The award is also supported by donors, Jane Hawkes and Catherine Littlejohn. Apply by April 1 by submitting the Serving Scholar Prize application. Selection will be based on the highest cumulative average.
Students who are graduating in June or who have graduated in the previous winter or fall convocations from any program who were registered in the Serving Scholars program while completing their undergraduate studies. Preference will be given to students who were registered in the Serving Scholars program for two or more semesters prior to graduation.
