This prize was established by Dr. Jerome Katchin to support students who excelled in small animal surgery during their DVM program. Selection will be based on the weighted average in VETM*4470 (Medicine and Surgery of Dog and Cat), the Phase 4 Small Animal Primary Healthcare rotation, the Small Animal Community Health rotation and the Phase 4 clinical rotations that count towards the small animal surgery core requirement. In the case of equally qualified candidates, the student with the highest DVM program average will receive the award.
Students who have completed Phase 4 of the DVM program, from the Small Animal Stream (VETM*4610).
