The Joyce Family Foundation Bursary for Rural Students aims to strengthen the social and economic fabric of rural Canada by empowering its next generation of leaders with skills and high quality post-secondary education. Apply by April 15 by submitting the Joyce Family Foundation Bursary for Rural Students application form. Students should complete the online Financial Need Assessment Form for Entrance Awards (E.N.A.F.) as soon as they receive their acknowledgment email from Admission Services (this will come automatically after an application for admissions has been submitted by the student) or by April 15th. Selection will be based on demonstrated financial need. Recipients will be expected to commit to working with a mentor each year throughout their program. To receive payments, recipients must remain registered full-time, continue to demonstrate financial need, and submit an annual report of their involvement with a mentor.

Students entering any program who have graduated from high school within the last 2 years with demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students whose home address at the time of application is from a rural community in Ontario. A rural community in Ontario is identified by the digit “0” as the second character in the postal code. If there are no eligible applicants from a rural community in Ontario, preference will be given to students whose home address at the time of application is from Ontario.
