The Heaslip Undergraduate Awards, envisioned and created by Bill Heaslip, have supported students at ten Canadian higher education institutions since 2005. Bill and Nona believed in providing financial support to deserving students so that they can focus on community service rather than full-time work. Their legacy lives on through the William and Nona Heaslip Foundation and its support of the Heaslip Scholars. Apply by October 7 to Student Financial Services with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.) and submit the Heaslip Undergraduate Award application. Selection will be based on equal consideration of financial need and a demonstrated commitment to sustained community involvement, shown through meaningful contributions that reflect the depth, duration, and impact of the applicant’s service to others. The award can be paused or deferred for up to a year if the student is on a leave of absence approved by the university without penalty. Students must remain registered full-time to receive all payments. This award cannot be held with the President's or Lincoln Alexander Chancellor's Scholarships.

Canadian citizens and permanent residents registered full-time in any program, who have completed a minimum of 4.0 credits and no more than 6.5 credits, with demonstrated financial need, a minimum 70% cumulative average in the previous academic year and a demonstrated history of sustained community involvement and meaningful contributions in support of others.
