Selection will be based on the highest ranking achieved through performance in the end-of-year Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and exceptional competency in the elements of effective interpersonal communication, including active listening; empathy and compassion toward the client; and an understanding of the importance of the client’s feelings, emotions, and values, as exhibited in the simulated client laboratories in VETM*3220 Art of Veterinary Medicine II. In the event of equally qualified candidates, the student with the highest grade in VETM*3220 will be selected.
DVM students who have successfully completed VETM*3220 Art of Veterinary Medicine II.
