Established by Mary Anne Sersen (FACS ’80) in memory of her mother, Theresa Sersen - a woman of strength, optimism, and resilience. Emigrating from Slovenia, Theresa overcame challenges with courage and humour, becoming a respected farmer and mentor. Her lifelong commitment to learning and helping others lives on through this award. Apply by October 7 to Student Financial Services with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.). Selection will be based on financial need.
Students registered in any program offered by the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students registered in any major offered by the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition (FRAN): Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc.) in Applied Human Nutrition (AHN), Child Studies (CSTU) or Family Studies and Human Development (FSHD).
