Shirley Ann Holmes (MAC ’62) had a long and successful career as a home economist with a focus on food. This travel grant was created to support students who share Shirley Ann’s passion for travel, food, and service to community. Apply by April 15 by submitting the CSAHS Travel Grant Application Form with a letter (maximum of 2 pages) including the details of the travel costs, the relation of the travel to the field of food studies and detailing the impact on the community through volunteer service. Selection will be based on the most significant impact on the community through volunteer service.

Students registered in any program offered by the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, traveling to participate in activities related to research, conferences, training or mentorship in the field of food studies, and have participated in volunteer activities.
