Provided by the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security to respond to the financial barriers to First Nations students across Ontario wishing to pursue postsecondary education in programs related to the mining sector where industry has identified significant labour needs. Apply by February 23 by submitting the First Nations Resource Development Award application and confirm your First Nations identity by completing the Indigenous Identity Confirmation Process for Students.

First Nations students registered in an eligible mining-related program. Eligible programs include Bachelor of Indigenous Environmental Science and Practice, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences undeclared major, Environmental Science major, OR Environment and Resource Management, Bachelor of Science Honours - Environmental Geomatics major, Master of Science in Environmental Sciences major, Master of Environmental Sciences - specifically Environmental Sciences (course-based), Environment Science (One Health) and Environmental Sciences (toxicology) majors.
