This scholarship was established by the University of Guelph Faculty Association, in memory of the fourteen women murdered in December 1989 at Ecole Polytechnique, to foster women's participation in a profession which is largely comprised of men. Apply by September 21 with a letter to the College of Engineering Awards Committee at soe.gradawards@uoguelph.ca. The letter should highlight the contributions of the applicant to extracurriculars, especially those that promote women in engineering. Selection will be based on high academic standing and contributions to fostering women’s participation in engineering. This award can be held with one other engineering graduate entrance scholarship.

Full-time female students who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons of Canada registered in a graduate program offered by the College of Engineering. Preference will be given to students entering an Engineering graduate program.
