This scholarship was established to recognize and support graduate students in CCMPS who demonstrate strong leadership and meaningful community engagement beyond their academic and research achievements. Apply by May 1 to the College of Computational, Mathematical and Physical Sciences Awards Committee at ccmpsawards@uoguelph.ca. Your application should include: a letter (maximum 2 pages) and one reference letter (maximum 2 pages) outlining and supporting your involvement in community engagement, extracurricular, and volunteer activities, with a particular emphasis on describing the impact of your skills and initiative in a leadership capacity and how it contributed to the college, University of Guelph or the broader community. Selection will be based on initiative, leadership and impact of community engagement activities. Students may hold this award only once.
Students registered in any graduate program offered by the College of Computational, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences who are currently engaged in community outreach, extracurricular and volunteer activities, beyond academic and research achievements. Preference will be given to students who are involved with activities supporting the campus and/or local community.
