Description

The goal of this grant program is to support and accelerate research and the application of new knowledge relevant to cancer prevention. Proposed projects must demonstrate a specific and defined potential for impact on cancer incidence, multidisciplinary collaboration is encouraged.

$150,000/ to a maximum of $600,000 per grant – anticipate 8 grants

up to 4 years

Special Notes

There must not be substantive overlap (more than 50%) with any pending application to any other CCSRI program as of the full application due date. Duplicate applications will not be accepted. The onus is on the applicant to indicate the extent (or absence) of overlap.

  • INTERNAL DEADLINE for LETTER OF INTENT to Office of Research: January 13, 2015.  Please submit your Letter of Intent and OR5 form to research.services@uoguelph.ca
  • INTERNAL DEADLINE If invited to Office of Research: June 18, 2015.  Please submit your application/proposal to research.services@uoguelph.ca

External Deadline

  • EXTERNAL DEADLINE for LETTER OF INTENT to sponsor directly: January 20, 2015 by 5:00 PM
  • EXTERNAL DEADLINE If invited to sponsor directly: June 25, 2015 by 5:00 PM EST

If you need to meet a deadline set by the lead institution for this opportunity, please ensure that you provide the Office of Research with at lead 5 days in advance of the lead institution’s deadline to review the application, or your proposed component of the project.  Please be in touch with the ORS (contact information below0 ahead of the deadline if it looks like it will be difficult for you to submit all the required documentation on time (ie, budget, proposal, OR5 form).
