St Kitts — Foundations of Clinical and Global Health Practice
The Foundations of Clinical and Global Health Practice Field School takes place at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMHS) in St. Kitts, a leader in hands-on health sciences instruction. Students will use the gross anatomy lab, which offers dissection platforms with human cadavers, to advance their understanding of gross anatomy and neuroanatomy, and will train in Human Simulation Laboratories that mimic a hospital setting, allowing them to integrate clinical capabilities with basic science principles. The international location gives students the opportunity to engage with different cultural perspectives, healthcare systems, and community contexts alongside UMHS faculty and students from a broad range of academic specialties, including anatomy, histology, biochemistry, physiology and behavioural science.
