Preparing for a study abroad or exchange experience begins long before you board your flight. On this page, you’ll find essential resources, checklists, and information about mandatory orientation requirements. After you accept your exchange or study abroad nomination, you’ll be enrolled in the DepartSmart online modules and added to a SharePoint site with more detailed instructions and timelines. Completion of DepartSmart and attendance at the pre-departure conference are required before travel.

After your Study Abroad Acceptance
After you have been accepted into one of our study abroad programs. The Centre for International Programs will provide you with access to an Exchange Resource Site, which includes:
- A checklist with all your tasks and due dates
- Mandatory travel insurance information
- How to complete the Exchange Program Course Selection (EPCS) Form
- How to pay your fees
- How to complete your host university’s application
- Financing study abroad resources
