Show us Your World and You Could Win!
Each year, the Centre for International Programs runs the "Show Us Your World" photo contest, which showcases the photos of students who have participated in a University of Guelph Study Abroad Program (Exchange, Field School, Summer Research, Summer Language, Summer Exchange) the previous year.

The 2025 "Show Us Your World" photo contest runs from Friday, November 7th to Sunday, November 30th, 2025. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 10th.

Below you’ll find all the details about this year’s “Show Us Your World” Photo Contest, including categories, prizes, and terms.
2025 Prizes
- $50 hospitality gift card awarded for each of the four categories (Study Abroad Ambassador Profile Draw, Architectural Wonder, Unforgettable Friendship, Study Abroad Because)
- $250 hospitality gift card awarded to the grand prize winner. (all the pictures submitted to the four categories will be considered for the grand prize)
Contest Categories
Answer some questions about your study abroad experience that CIP will share on our website for prospective students to use to learn more about what it means to study abroad. You can submit 6-10 photos for this category and these photos will also be considered in the grand prize draw.

Share a photo of an architectural masterpiece you encountered while abroad! Whether it’s a famous landmark, an iconic building, natural wonder, or a hidden gem, we want to see the structures that made a lasting impression on you. You can submit 5 photos for this category.
Show us the friendships that made your experience abroad unforgettable. Whether with locals or fellow traelers, these connections add a special meaning to your journey. Share photos that highlight the moments, fun, and memories you shared with the people who made a lasting impact on you. You can submit 5 photos for this category.
Capture the essence of your day-to-day life abroad. What did your typical day look like? Whether it’s your favourite local coffee shop, your morning commute, or a cultural tradition that became a part of your routine, we want to see what it means to live like a local. You can submit 5 photos for this category.
Contest Rules and Regulations
a. Five photos per category per entrant. All additional entries will be disqualified. Only one ambassador profile will be accepted per person
b. Photos must have been taken by the student on the study abroad program or travels associated with the study abroad program. Only the creator of an image has the right to submit it. Prizes will be awarded to the entrants.
c. The contest is open to any University of Guelph student who participated in a University of Guelph Study Abroad program during the Fall 2024, Winter 2025, and Summer 2025 semesters.
a. All entries must be submitted in digital forms, as .jpg files
b. The original image size must be in high-resolution format, with a minimum of 1500x2100pixels or 3.1 megapixels.
c. Photographic entries must be accompanied by a photo title and a description of the photo.
a. By submitting your photo entry/entries to the "Show us your World" photo contest, you agree to give CIP permission to use your photo(s).
b. The Centre for International Programs reserves the non-exclusive right to publish any entry and/or use any entry in related promotional material. These rights include but are not limited to U of G print and electronic publications, events and promotional materials and online and social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and the University of Guelph website.
a. The Grand Prize winner for the photo contest will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Centre for International Programs. The decision of the judges is final. The winner will be notified by email in December.
b. Everyone who submits a completed ambassador profile will be entered into a draw to win the Ambassador Profile prize.
a. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and no alternative will be given.
