HTM to Host Peter Oliver of Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants 
Each semester the School invites a successful and prominent industry executive to the campus to speak and meet with students. Peter Oliver is our Executive-in-Residence and will be on campus Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th. He will be presenting in several 1st - 4th year classes. The School will also be hosting an appreciation dinner in his honour on Feb. 7th.

The Ontario Hostelry Institute has announced that CME Dean, Julia Christensen Hughes has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Gold Award in the category of Educator. Julia will be celebrated and presented with this award at the annual gala Gold Awards Dinner on March 22nd. From HTM, Congratulations Julia!!

JAN 23: Fundraiser for Drew Cumpson Exceeds Goal
The Keep Fighting, Keep Smiling Fundraiser for Drew Cumpson was an absolute success. 250 guests attended with many in spirit. The highlight of last Friday's evening was a Skype session with Drew. His smile sparked smiles on all faces and the amount of love in the room was incredible! HTMSA is thrilled to have raised $28,805 and counting to cover the cost of the wheelchair Drew needs and more. We love you Drew Cumpson!! You are always in our thoughts.

A very warm welcome to our School.
In 2009, the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Guelph celebrates 40 years of educational service to the Canadian hotel, food service and tourism industries. As Canada's most long-standing and arguably most prestigious university hospitality programme we are immensely proud of both our contribution and our heritage. As we progress through our 5th decade of operation, we also look forward to our future impact on the management and development of what is now a truly global industry.
The 'Guelph School' has gone through many changes over the past 40 years, and no doubt more change is yet to come. However, at the root of all we do is an innate desire to ensure that all of .....
The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) is part of the College of Management and Economics (CME), which is one of the seven colleges of the University of Guelph. The School offers 2 of the 8 majors in the Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) Program - Hotel and Food Administration (HAFA) which also has a Co-op option (HAFA:C) and Tourism Management (TMGT). The acronym HAFA refers to one of the majors offered by the School and until May of 2002 was also the name of the School.
