Post-Doctoral Scholar Wins Best Presentation at DMIP International Conference

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shanoon, a post-doctoral scholar in the AI Lab in the School of Computer Science, has been awarded Best Presentation at the 2025 8th International Conference on Digital Medicine and Image Processing (DMIP) in Tokyo, Japan. Held at the University of Tokyo from November 27–30, DMIP is a leading international conference where researchers and professionals from around the world share new work in digital medicine, image processing and related fields.

The presentation highlighted work from the paper he and Dr. Ed Sykes wrote, “Bridging Classification and Localization in X-Ray Fracture Diagnosis via Weakly-Supervised Vision Transformers.”
