To help students prepare a 3-minute research “pitch,” we are hosting two interactive workshops facilitated by Dr. Jodie Salter (University of Guelph Library, Writing Specialist), Jason Dodd (University of Guelph Library, Science Learning Specialist) and Jessie Kennedy (Manager, John F. Wood Centre for Business and Student Enterprise).

Both workshops will be held in-person (MINS 129) and online via TEAMS. More informaiton will be sent after you register.

Workshop #1: Preparing Your Slide | February 14, 1:30 – 3:00PM

Participating in this workshop series will help you better articulate complex ideas effectively in a concise format and prepare you to share your research in a Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.

During this workshop series, you will learn about the benefits of participating, how organize your pitch and the principles of good slide design.

Learn how to “pitch” your research! Participants in this workshop will receive valuable feedback on your presentation.
