July 1 – 9, 2018

The Association of Commonwealth Universities’ (ACU) Summer School 2018 is taking place at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in July 2018, with the theme of 'Designing & Creating Sustainable Communities.'  It’s an interdisciplinary event which is open to postgraduate and final-year undergraduate from all subject backgrounds with an interest in the theme.

The program is a fantastic week of lectures by local and international experts, group project work, social events, workshops and field trips. As University of Guelph is an ACU member, students have access to bursaries and a discount registration rate.  Only students who have never travelled outside of Canada are eligible to apply for the bursaries, which cover full Summer School participation including the academic program, social events and site visits, accommodation, most meals, airport pick-ups, and a return economy flight from your home country.

Full information and the link to the application form can be found athttps://www.acu.ac.uk/events/commonwealth-summer-school/acu-summer-school-2018/ The deadline for applications is January 14, 2018.

If selected for the program, please contact U of G’s Centre for International Programs to register for the online pre-departure orientation program called DepartSmart and for Guard Me health and travel insurance.  These are mandatory for all U of Guelph students who are travelling as part of a U of G activity.
