University Professor Emeritus Receives Honourary Doctorate

University Professor Emeritus, Mathematics, Dr. William R. Smith has been awarded the title of doctor honoris causa by the University of J. E. Purkyně in the Czech Republic, one of the institution’s highest honours. The honourary doctorate recognize Smith’s exceptional contributions, leadership and lasting impact in the field of mathematics, as well as his international reputation as a scholar and collaborator.
