Departmental Seminar - Prof. Christopher Kay

Prof. Christopher Kay from Saarland University (Germany) and University College London (UK) will present a seminar entitled "From electron spin resonance spectroscopy to microwave lasers: a dielectric and educational journey" on Tuesday, March 24 at 1:15 PM in SSC 1511. Prof. Kay is joining us from Saarland University in Germany where he is the Chair of Physical Chemistry and Chemistry Education. He also holds a part-time position at the London Centre for Nanotechnology at University College London where he was professor from 2006-2017. Research interests of his include bismuth dopants in silicon for quantum computing, magnetism in organic semi-conductors, room temperature masers, and spin-labelling in structural biology.
