PhD Candidate Megan Black Awarded Prestigious Walter Vaughan Medal
Megan Black, a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemistry, has been named a recipient of the Walter Vaughan Medal, one of the institution’s most distinguished student honours recognizing academic excellence and exceptional service to university governance.
Black, a member of Professor Rui Huang’s research group, was recognized for her outstanding academic record and meaningful contributions to student life—particularly through her engagement with Senate activities and leadership within the university community. The award will be presented during the University of Guelph’s summer convocation ceremonies.
As Black continues her doctoral studies, the Walter Vaughan Medal stands as a testament to her exceptional contributions both in the lab and within the University of Guelph community. Congrats Megan!
