Plant Programs

Plants feed us, heal us, clothe us. How we use them can be controversial, impactful and life-altering.

The University of Guelph is known for its research, innovation and expertise when it comes to plants. And it’s not just in our research and classrooms. You can see our focus on plants in the way the campus is designed and maintained and in the fact that you can take a study break in a greenhouse or our gorgeous Arboretum. Our suite of plant-related programs focus on a variety of applications and approaches. The breadth of options enables you to explore plants from a variety of focuses: agriculture, medicine, recreation, beauty, food and drink, and the environment.
