To help students prepare a 3-minute research “pitch,” we are hosting the second interactive workshops facilitated by Dr. Jodie Salter (University of Guelph Library, Writing Specialist), Jason Dodd (University of Guelph Library, Science Learning Specialist) and Jessie Kennedy (Manager, John F. Wood Centre for Business and Student Enterprise).
This workshop will be held in-person (MINS 129) and online via TEAMS. More informaiton will be sent after you register.

Women in Engineering and Physics outreach teams at the University of Guelph are piloting the first of its kind Go PHYS Girl! This event will be designed for all girl and non-binary students in Grades 7 to 10 to spend a half-day on campus to learn all about the incredible world of Physics and future career opportunities.

3MT® is a university-wide competition for graduate students to present their research and its wider impact in 3 minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges. The challenge is to present complex research in an engaging, accessible and compelling way, using only one slide. Each college holds a heat to decide which two finalists will advance to the University of Guelph 3MT® Final Competition on April 24th. CEPS College Heat prizes are up to $500 and University Final Competition prizes are up to $1,000.

In this talk, she will cover some of the recent work on the Human-AI communication design that was done with the COoKIE research group, discuss its implications for the development of Safe and Responsible AI, and highlight the intriguing potential of conversational interfaces for Human-AI Collaboration.
