The 9th Annual HK5K will be hosted on Sunday, October 22nd 9-11am, at the University of Guelph Arboretum, we are so excited to see you there!

  • Registration will close Friday, October 20th at 5pm OR when all spots are filled.
  • A confirmation email will be sent out to those who register the morning of Saturday, October 21st with more details for the day of the run!

 

The Details:

  • This event is open to ALL students, faculty and staff of UofG, as well as the Guelph community.
  • You may register as an individual or with a team.
  • Ensure that you have all team members’ first and last names as well as a team name for registration.
  • The registration fee is $15 with proceeds raised going towards United Way Guelph.
  • This e-transfer must be made to hksa@uoguelph.ca immediately after filling out the registration form to confirm your spot. 
  • The first 20 people who sign up will receive a special piece of HKSA merch on the day of the event.
  • All participants will be entered into door prizes featuring items and gift cards from local Guelph businesses.
  • And of course, we have some fun stuff in store for our race day winners! 
  • Snacks will be provided at the event along with water refills.
  • We ask that you bring your own reusable water bottle to the event and ensure you wear proper running shoes and dress for the weather!
  • Participants can either run or walk the course!

 

The HK5K Team Challenge:

  • Along with individual winners we will be having a special team challenge.

 

The score for the team challenge will be calculated as follows:

  • Score = x/y; the team with the lowest score will win a trophy and bragging rights until next year's HK5K
  • x = sum of the 4 fastest times from the team -- the faster your team is the lower the score will be!
  • y = number of team members who successfully complete the course (time does not matter)
  • The more members on your team the lower your score will be!
