The Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance and the Agri-food Data Canada (ADC) co-hosted an event to showcase the next generation of research centre data portals and show how new ADC-developed tools will support agri-food researchers and help build an enhanced data ecosystem.

The event was focused on bringing experts together to discuss and share ongoing work and initiatives aimed at improving the quality, accessibility, and usefulness of agri-food research data, aligning with the FAIR principles – findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable.

The event was a hybrid with about 70 participants from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs at the Ontario Dairy Research Centre (ODRC) in Elora. ADC experts presented updates on the latest version of the Ontario Dairy Research Centre Data Portal and other tools designed to enhance the FAIR principles for agri-food data.
