Tune in to learn about the potential impacts of an African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak in Ontario. This session will provide a broad overview of the disease, its global context, and the potential economic and industry-wide effects if an outbreak were to occur in the province.

Experts will discuss the challenges ASF poses and what it could mean for Ontario’s swine sector.

Participants will hear from leading industry experts and researchers, including Dr. Christa Arsenault, Lead Veterinarian OMAFA, and Professor José Nuño-Ledesma and Dr. Scott Biden of the Department of Food, Agricultural Resources and Economics at the University of Guelph. 

Anyone interested in learning more about how these research stations facilitate innovation, collaboration, and positive impact for the Ontario agri-food sector are welcome to attend. All webinars will be offered using Microsoft Teams.
