Give & Go: A Waste Prevention Initiative

Give & Go: A Waste Prevention Initiative

This Earth Month, the Sustainability Office, Student Housing Services and Student Experience have teamed up to expand the waste prevention initiative, Give & Go, to include a general donation collection station in Peter Clark Hall.

What is Give & Go?

Give & Go is a waste prevention and reduction initiative that collects gently used items from students as they move out at the end of the semester and rehomes them to local campus or community organizations, such as the UofG Free Store.

Instead of tossing out items no longer needed, we encourage our campus community to donate them so they can be rehomed, recycled or repurposed.

How Does it Work?

During the collection period from Thursday, April 11th to Tuesday, April 23rd, we'll have a designated collection station set up in Peter Clark Hall Wing B (100B), located in the basement of the University Centre. The south elevators closest to the bus loop will take you closest to the collection station.

Look for our posters and Give & Go program volunteers ready to accept your donations.
