Sustainable Residence Committee (SRC) Banner

The Sustainable Residence Committee (SRC) is a collaborative initiative between the University of Guelph Sustainability Office and Student Housing Services (SHS).

SRC members, known as Sustainable Residence Ambassadors, will develop and enhance their leadership skills while actively improving campus sustainability.

Sustainable Residence Ambassadors will participate in the following:

  • Bi-weekly hands-on workshops, including a native plant planting, a pumpkin upcycling cooking class, and a swap night.
  • Volunteering at sustainability-focused outreach tables to promote sustainability initiatives and sustainable choices to students living in residence.
  • Discussion days to provide meaningful feedback and insight to staff from Student Housing Services, Custodial Services, and the Sustainability Office.
  • Leading sustainability workshops for first-year students in the winter semester.
  • And more!

SRC members who successfully complement the requirements (listed below) will be eligible to receive a letter of participation/recommendation, a certificate and a notation on their official UofG transcript.
