Executive Summary

In compliance with Ontario's Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016 and Blue Box Regulation, the University of Guelph is legally required to report waste generation data to regulators and auditors in Ontario.

Specifically, the University of Guelph is responsible for compliance with Blue Box Regulation (O.Reg. 391/21), overseen by the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority (RPRA). The University of Guelph supplies Blue Box materials in Ontario, and is therefore a producer under the Blue Box Regulation. As such, the University is obligated to report annual Blue Box supply data and brand lists to the RPRA. The Department of Sustainability compiles and reports UofG's annual supply data and brand lists to submit to the RPRA through an annual survey.

Please note:

• Reporting MUST be completed via this Qualtrics survey.
• The survey must be completed by 5:00 PM on Friday, May 3, 2024. Failure to submit accurate supply data by this deadline may result in UofG receiving administrative penalties from the RPRA.
• Report data for the 2023 calendar year only (January 1 — December 31, 2023).
• Weight values reported for Blue Box materials must be provided in kilograms, to the nearest 0.1 grams.
