HeForShe Gender Equality Workshop

You're invited to join the U of G community for an engaging discussion around gender equality and identity with the bold objective of breaking down barriers and stereotypes. Addressing Race in the Classroom: Improving the Student Experience (Part 2)

Join Tameera Mohamed, Cultural Diversity Advisor, for a workshop exploring the experiences of racialized students in the classroom and how instructors can contribute to improving the experiences of students of colour. In this one-and-a-half-hour session, we will explore strategies instructors can use to prevent and address these harms in the classroom.   This event is open to internal U of G only. Please register using your University of Guelph email. Go CODE Girl

Go CODE Girl is for grades 7-12. Go CODE Girl will educate, inspire, and equip girls with the digital skills, confidence, and resources needed to pursue an education in technology, computing, and engineering. The Guelph Women in Computer Science undergrads have designed and will be running the online activities in small groups (divided by age and experience).  It will not only be an opportunity to learn more about computer science but a chance to engage with enthusiastic undergrads currently studying in this field. No previous programming experience is necessary.
