Business Phones

Business Phone service is available to faculty and staff at the University of Guelph, including the Ridgetown campus.

Calendar (via Office 365)

Calendaring is provided as part of Office 365. Office 365 is offered to all staff, faculty and students at the University of Guelph (including all affiliate campuses) and the University of Guelph-Humber.

Central Login ID and Password

A Central Login Account is a centralized identity that consists of a central login ID (username), password, and identifying information about a University member or group. Central login IDs and passwords are the credentials used for accessing most University online services.

Central Storage

This service provides enterprise class storage to departmental, faculty and researcher servers on a cost sharing, subscription basis.

Digital Accessibility Resource Centre (DARC)

The Digital Accessibility Resource Centre provides training, tools, and support for the creation of accessible digital content, including:

  • web content
  • PDFs/Word documents
  • presentation slides/PowerPoint decks
  • video
  • audio
  • other multimedia 

Eduroam

Eduroam is a wireless network service that allows members of Canadian educational institutions to securely access the Internet while visiting other member universities by using login credentials from their home institution.

Email/Gryph Mail (via Outlook/Office 365)

Email is provided as part of the Office 365 suite of services.  Office 365 is offered to all Staff, Faculty, Undergraduate and Graduate Students at the University of Guelph (including all affiliate campuses) and the University of Guelph-Humber.

Encryption

Full disk encryption to secure personal computers, laptops or portable storage devices which store sensitive data.

File and Printer Sharing (CFS)

The Central File Service (CFS) provides access to a secure robust file storage area on campus for the use and protection of departmental and project files. 

Firewall Security

A firewall is an additional security control to prevent unauthorized access to computing resources and data that are hosted on a server.
